The Ride Begins!

We arrived in Prince Rupert in the am and were met by a life long Prince Rupertarian. We were shown the town cooks tour and picked up some local knowledge and lore. Micky's neighborhood? We were treated to lunch and invited to meet with Rotary Club members at 6pm at the Breakers Pub.
I was pleased to meet with the Mayor of Prince Rupert and share an idea about a suggested project that is being designed and artfully sculpted by David Rubin. The idea was recieved with great interest.
We had a nice social meeting with Rotarians in the evening and the Prince Rupert Club is to be commended on there annual Rotary Foundation fund raiser that brought in $15000. for the effort. Congratulations Rotarians, great support for the good things the Foundation does.

Kick-Off BBQ

The support gang came together on Sunday and we had a great feed. Way too much food.
My Co-pilot Don from Lousiana arrive on time on the "no where island". One short ferry ride and great to see him again after about 2 years. One of the good guys and a Doctor to boot.
I was presented with a mascot to protect me and make sure I have loads of fun on the ride.
Check the photo out.. RFAR BARBIE.
We depart on the Alaska Ferry Taku at dark and get to Prince Rupert in the morning.

RFAR Farkles!

One Week to Departure!

The adventure is about to begin... all the planning is mostly in place. Next week at this time I will be arriving in Prince Rupert, B.C. Canada. I have a potential of up to +50 Rotary Clubs to visit in the Canadian Province.

I just completed an interview on KRBD-FM Pubic Radio Ketchikan and shared with Ketchikan live my RFAR Project. So far the Rotary Clubs have donated in support of the project $1750.

It is all beginning to be real. Rfardahl.
